Langtang Corporate Trek Overview

The Langtang Corporate Trek by Snow View Treks is an 11-day journey designed specifically for work teams. This trek blends a beautiful Himalayan trek with activities that help colleagues connect, learn, and grow together. Located just a day’s drive from Kathmandu, the Langtang Valley is easy to reach without the need for extra flights. Once the team leaves the city behind, the noise of emails and meetings is replaced by the sound of the Langtang River and views of the massive Langtang Lirung mountain. This peaceful setting becomes a kind of boardroom without walls, where the team can think clearly and focus on each other.

Talking about the journey, the trek follows the classic Langtang Trek route through green forests and traditional Tamang villages. The team will begin walking from Syabrubesi and continue to Lama Hotel (2,480m) and Langtang Village (3,430m) until they reach Kyanjin Gompa (3,830m). The team stays three nights in Kyanjin Gompa to rest and adjust to the altitude. During that time, the group hikes to Kyanjin Ri and Tserko Ri for wide 360-degree views of glaciers and Himalayan peaks.

Not to mention, each day has two parts. The first part is the physical journey through forests, rivers, mountain trails, and local villages to reach the overnight stop. The second part focuses on team growth, with regular touchpoints that keep it clearly corporate. The schedule includes an acclimatization day workshop, group activities, and daily reflection circles in the evening, where everyone shares what they learned and how to improve.

The main objective of this trek in the Langtang region is to break down barriers between job titles. When the team shares a meal in a small mountain lodge or visits a local cheese factory together, they stop being bosses and employees and become a team. They also learn lessons, like a visit to the Kyanjin Cheese Factory offers a real-life lesson in supply chains, and hearing stories of how local people stayed strong after the earthquake teaches them about resilience.

We end this short trek with fun activities like dancing, singing, and a final ceremony to celebrate everything the team has achieved. By the time your team returns to the office, you will have a team that trusts one another more, communicates more effectively, and feels ready to take on new challenges together.

11 Days Langtang Corporate Trek Detailed Itinerary

Day 01 :

Arrival in Kathmandu (1,324m)

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, our guide will welcome your team and help you transfer to the hotel. Once you arrive at the hotel and check in, you and your team will have ample time to settle in, relax, and shift out of work mode after travelling.

In the evening, there will be a welcome huddle. This session is designed to introduce the purpose and goals of the corporate trek, align expectations for the coming days, and encourage team members who don’t usually interact to start connecting in a relaxed, informal setting. Also, we will organize a welcome dinner where you will taste local delicacies made by the hotel chef.

Syabrubesi

On day 2 of the Langtang Corporate Trek, your team leaves Kathmandu and begins a drive along the Trishuli River towards Syabrubesi. Syabrubesi marks the start of the Langtang Valley Trek. From Kathmandu, the drive route passes Tokha, Betrawati, Kalikastha, and finally, Dhunche. At Dhunche, you’ll pass a permit checkpoint for Langtang National Park.

As the road approaches Dhunche, it gradually narrows, becomes rocky, and winds uphill. But the route offers the first glimpses of Manaslu, the Langtang Range, and Ganesh Himal. All along the way, you’ll see small and large waterfalls cascading down the hills. The driver will often stop to let everyone fill water bottles directly from these waterfalls. To be honest, the water tastes amazing. It’s cold, fresh, and unlike any bottled water you’ve had before. It’s one of those little Himalayan experiences that sticks with you.

This travel also helps in team bonding. You’ll find yourself pointing out things to your colleagues like “look at that view!”, and noticing them doing the same for you. Slowly, shared moments like these create a connection within the group. When you arrive in Syabrubesi, the team checks into a comfortable lodge.

In the evening, the guide leads a trip briefing and a corporate alignment session, where he clarifies the trek’s goals, team-building objectives, and how each person can contribute. This ensures everyone is aligned, aware of the shared mission, and ready to start the journey as a cohesive team. If time allows, you can also visit the natural hot springs in Syabrubesi and soak your feet in the warm water.

Lama Hotel

Today marks the first official trekking day on the Langtang Valley Trek trail. The day begins with breakfast, and then the team gets ready to hit the trail. As the team leaves Syabrubesi, the trail follows the Bhote Koshi and Langtang Khola. The walk feels calm and steady at first. The route passes through green bamboo and rhododendron forests, crosses wooden bridges, and walks beside small waterfalls. The sound of water and the fresh air make the walk enjoyable.

During this 5 to 6-hour hike, the group slowly breaks into smaller teams based on walking speed. Some walk faster, some slower, and that’s okay. While walking, teammates talk, share stories, and help each other on steep or rocky sections. Sometimes it’s sharing a snack. Other times, it’s checking if someone is doing okay. These small moments help people trust each other in a natural way. The route passes through several villages like Pahiro, Bamboo, and Rimche.

When the team reaches Lama Hotel (2,480m), everyone checks in at the hotel and rests for a bit. To end the day, the team gathers for a campfire. This is a special time to unplug from the world and truly connect. Away from screens and office walls, sitting under the stars helps everyone relax and talk openly. Everyone shares what went well, what difficulties they faced, and how they tackled those difficulties. It’s a simple way to learn from each other, improve, and enjoy the feeling of completing the first day of trekking. Later, they will head to sleep in the quiet of the forest.

Langtang Village

Same as yesterday, the morning starts with a warm breakfast in the cool mountain air. Then, the team leaves Lama Hotel. The Langtang Trek trail passes through villages like Ghoda Tabela and Thyangsyap. Along the way, the team also walks beside mani walls and prayer wheels that reflect the local culture. Gradually, the landscape shifts from dense forests to wide, open alpine meadows. The trekking route also offers wide, clear views of Langtang Lirung (7,227m) and Langtang II (6,596m).

At this point, the team walks together, sharing the feeling of reaching higher ground as one group. As the trail gets harder, teammates start watching each other’s pace and offering support. Some give words of encouragement. Others slow down to walk together. The guide also stops for short learning check-ins. These are simple moments to notice how the team communicates and helps one another under pressure. Often, how people act on the trail reflects how they work together back in the office.

After 6-7 hours of walking, the team reaches Langtang Village. Upon arrival in Langtang Village, the focus shifts to a Resilience Storytelling session. In this session, the team will meet the local people and hear their stories about how they rebuilt their village after the 2015 earthquake. Their stories are honest and powerful, showing what it truly means to stay strong during hard times. It’s a great example they can use when facing their own hard projects at work. To end the day, the team gathers for a Reflection Circle. Together, they talk about what they learned about resilience and how these lessons can help them face challenges at work.

Kyanjin Gompa

To get your body ready for today’s walk, the team can do some stretching exercises after freshening up. Stretching exercises are more important today, as they will walk at higher elevations in the thin mountain air. The trek from Langtang to Kyanjin Gompa is shorter and easier. The trail follows a wide valley with beautiful and clear views of Langtang Himal, like Langtang Lirung, Naya Kanga, and Ganchenpo, the whole way.

As the group walks past colorful prayer flags and old mani walls, they slowly reach Kyanjin Gompa. This small village sits high in the valley and feels calm and peaceful, almost like a natural retreat. After arriving and settling into the lodge, the afternoon is kept light. Employees will visit the Kyanjin Cheese Factory. They will see how cheese is made and use it as a simple example of how a business “supply chain” works.

The team ends the day with a Short Reflection Circle. Each person shares one thing they have noticed about themselves or the team so far. Talking in this quiet setting helps keep the connection between the trek and work goals strong.

Kyanjin Gompa

Day 6 of the Langtang Valley Corporate Trek is the biggest challenge of the entire trek. This day tests endurance, pacing, and focus as the team climbs to Tserko Ri. The team starts early at 5:00 AM, in the thin, cold mountain air. As the path gets steeper and the air thinner, the team has to move together, step by step. This is the perfect time to practice the “slow and steady” mindset. It’s something that works not just on the trail, but also on high-pressure work projects.

The reward at the top is amazing. You get a 360-degree view of Langtang Lirung, Ganchenpo, the Langtang Glacier, and even Shishapangma in Tibet. Standing there, it’s easy to let go of small office worries and focus on the big picture. After the climb and a return to Kyanjin Gompa, the team shifts from physical effort to a mental reset. They can explore the Kyanjin Gompa and soak in the monastery’s spiritual atmosphere.

To end the day, the corporate team gathers for a Reflection Circle. The team talks about how they handled the tough climb and what they learned about resilience, teamwork, and staying focused under pressure. It’s a perfect way to see how the lessons from the trail can be used back in the office.

Day 7 of the Langtang Corporate Trek 11 days, involves climbing up to Kyanjin Ri (4,773m). The trail to Kyanjin Ri starts with an aggressive climb, and because of the altitude, the team will move slowly to stay together. After only 20 minutes of walking, you can look down and see the Kyanjin Gompa village hidden between the giant mountains.

Halfway up, we reach Lower Kyanjin Ri, which is decorated with colorful prayer flags. While many hikers stop here, our team keeps going along the ridge towards the true summit. Moving together through the wilder path, the group eventually reaches the top to find a spectacular 360-degree view. From the summit, you get an amazing view of the Langtang Lirung Glacier and the huge snowy peaks like Langtang Lirung (7,227m), Yala Peak (5,732m), and Tserko Ri (4,984m).

When the team stands here, they learn a powerful lesson: they can achieve big goals by working hard and not giving up. The walk back down to the village is fast, taking just an hour. In the evening, we hold a special Team Event. This is led by your Company Host (Anchor) and is the big finale for this part of the trip. You can run the event as you see fit. You may discuss celebrating wins (cheer for the hard work and teamwork everyone showed during the big climbs), plan for the future, share mountain lessons, and share new ideas for the office without distractions.

The walk back down starts early to catch the best morning views of the giants we’ve come to know: Langtang Lirung, Naya Kanga, and Ganchenpo. Although the walk is long (about 20km), it is mostly downhill and easier on the lungs as we head towards a lower elevation. We suggest using trekking poles to help your knees as we move from the high peaks back into the green forests.

As we pass through Mundu, Langtang Village, and Thyangsyap, the team has a chance to see the mani walls and prayer wheels one last time. The team has plenty of time for easy, relaxed talking. Since you aren’t struggling to catch your breath on this descent, colleagues can really talk, share what they’ve learned, and enjoy the sound of the Langtang Khola river beside them, and the peaks of Langtang. We will stop at Ghoda Tabela and riverside spots for breaks. Finally, after 6-7 hours of walking, the team arrives at the Lama Hotel.

Syabrubesi

This is the final day of trekking. This day takes us back to where it all began, which is Syabrubesi. Throughout the walk, we will walk on mostly downhill sections. We will walk through beautiful, deep forests and alongside the rushing river. If we get lucky, we can spot Red Panda or monkeys in the trees.

We also passed villages like Rimche, Bamboo, and Pairo. The walk is shorter than yesterday. But note that some sections can be rocky and slippery, so the team needs to keep looking out for one another just like they did on the first day. Once we arrive in Syabrubesi and settle into our lodge, we will organize a celebration program. To mark the last night of the trek, the guides organize a special evening session. We will sing, dance, and have fun together.

Kathmandu

After a final breakfast in the mountains, we begin a long drive back to Kathmandu. The road follows the Trishuli River and passes through small towns and green hills. You will see beautiful waterfalls and local villages along the way. The road can be bumpy and rocky in some spots, but it is a great chance to see the countryside one last time before reaching the city.

On the drive back (or while we are still in Langtang Village), your company can seize the opportunity to engage in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and help a local school. Many schools in the mountains have a hard time. The buildings are often old and cold, and the students usually don’t have enough notebooks, pens, or warm clothes. Most of these schools also have no computers, which makes it difficult for the children to learn.

If your team wants to help, we can stop the bus so you can meet the students and teachers. You can choose to give things like school supplies or help pay for repairs to the building. This is not a service we sell, and the costs are paid by your company, but we are happy to help you organize it. It is a wonderful way for your team to do something kind for the community before leaving. Once we get back to Kathmandu valley, we will go to the hotel to rest. We will have one last Farewell Dinner together.

Day 11 :

Transfer to the international airport for your departure

This day officially concludes your 11 days Langtang Corporate Trek. The morning starts with breakfast at the hotel. Once you are ready to leave, we will take you to the international airport for your flight home.

However, if your team wants to stay, we can add one extra day in Kathmandu. Many companies add 1 extra day because it gives them time to organize a special event to celebrate the team’s success. They hand out small prizes or certificates to people who showed strengths during the trek, like the “Strong Leader” Award for someone who helped others on the trail, the “Hardest Worker” Award for someone who never gave up during the steep climbs, and the “Positive Energy” Award for the person who kept everyone smiling.

This extra day also gives everyone a chance to relax, do some last-minute shopping, and officially celebrate their big achievement before flying home.

Why Langtang Works for Distraction-Free Corporate Engagement?

Langtang supports distraction-free corporate engagement because it is easy to reach from Kathmandu, yet feels far away from daily life. It is only a 7 to 9 hours drive from Kathmandu, and flights are not necessary. As soon as you arrive, the noise of the city fades away. There will be no more emails, meetings, and daily pressure. Also, Langtang sees fewer crowds than other trekking areas like Everest or the Annapurna region, thus your team has real time to talk, listen, and connect without being interrupted by the outside world.

Likewise, while on the trek, daily life becomes simple and healthy. The team follows a healthy routine of walking, eating, and resting together. Internet access is limited, so employees naturally spend less time on their phones and start talking to the person next to them. This “digital detox” helps everyone’s brain relax and clear out the stress of office life. Team can do deep thinking and engage in real conversations that just don’t happen in a busy office setting.

Furthermore, to make the Langtang Trek journey meaningful, there will also be practical learning moments. A visit to a local cheese factory at Kyanjin Gompa helps the team understand real-life supply chains. Listening to local stories shows how people stay strong during difficult times. Plus, each day ends with a Reflection Circle, where the team shares lessons and discusses how to use them back at work.

Langtang’s Cultural Landscape and Its Impact on Team Perspective

Your team will experience a completely different way of life in Langtang. When they walk around and pass through local villages like Pahiro, Bamboo, Rimche, Ghoda Tabela, Thyangsyap, and Langtang village, they will see how local people live simply and happily in the small villages. That alone makes them rethink what is truly important. Similarly, seeing how the Langtangpa rebuilt their homes after the 2015 earthquake gives a powerful lesson about strength, teamwork, and hope.

Similarly, the warm mountain culture helps people forget their job titles. On the trail, there are no managers, seniors, juniors, or interns. Everyone walks together and helps each other when needed. You’ll see this in small ways, like someone offering a hand on a steep hill or a serious manager laughing over dinner in a cozy family-run lodge. When everyone faces the same hills and shares the same meals, people start seeing each other as humans first. This naturally breaks down the walls that often exist between departments. The conversations become more honest and meaningful than they ever are in the office.

And when the trek ends and your team returns home, they return with a stronger bond. A coworker who once felt distant is now someone you shared laughs, helped, or even exchanged personal stories with in the mountains. Back at the office, those memories make it easier to greet each other warmly, start a conversation, and ask for or offer help without worrying about roles or hierarchy.

Fitness, Trek Difficulty, and Preparation Tips for Corporate Teams

Now, let’s talk about trek difficulty. The Langtang Corporate Trek is rated easy to moderate, which makes it a great fit for a diverse group of corporate employees with varied fitness and trek experience. For employees who hike occasionally, the trail will feel like a pleasant challenge. If someone is new to trekking but has decent fitness, the trek will be rewarding without being overwhelming. This balance is what makes Langtang work so well for corporate teams.

While the trek is manageable, there are a few sections that will test both the team’s spirit and legs. These are the moments when colleagues step up to support one another. One of the toughest parts comes on Day 3, when teams must climb the long stone staircase from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel. The stairs seem to go on forever. Similarly, the trail from Bamboo to Rimche is one of the hardest lower sections. The path is steep, uneven, and sometimes affected by landslides, requiring careful footing.

Nonetheless, the hardest part of the trek is the climb to Tserko Ri. The trail to Tserko Ri is rocky and steep, and reaching the top requires focus and mental grit. The altitude of 4,984m also adds an extra challenge. Likewise, the long downhill walk (18-20km) on Day 8, from Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel, is also tough on the knees.

That being said, one of the best things about the Langtang route is its safety. The highest place the team sleeps is Kyanjin Gompa (3,830m). At this elevation, the risk of altitude sickness is low. While at Kyanjin Gompa, the team will go higher during the day to hike to Kyanjin Ri (4,773m) and Tserko Ri (4,984m). But they will follow the “Climb High, Sleep Low” rule. This means they touch the high peaks but return to a lower altitude to sleep, helping the body stay strong and healthy.

Preparation tips for the trek:

  • Try to go for a 1–2 hour walk at least three times a week. If you can find a trail with some hills, that’s even better.
  • Use the stairs at your office instead of the elevator. This is the best way to prepare your legs for the stone steps of Langtang.
  • Wear your trekking boots during your practice walks to make sure they are comfortable and don’t cause blisters.
  • Activities like swimming, cycling, or light jogging also help improve heart and lung strength, which makes walking at a higher altitude much easier.

If you want to know more about the preparation tips, feel free to Contact Us. We will share a 6-week training calendar that you can share with your employees.

How Much Does the Langtang Corporate Trek Cost?

At Snow View Treks, we believe in offering a safe, well-supported, and high-quality experience for your team. The pricing is designed to cover everything, from expert guides to mountain logistics. This way, your organization can focus fully on the journey. The cost per person depends on group size, which helps us assign the right number of staff to properly support every participant.

For groups of 10 to 20 trekkers, the cost is USD 1,450 per person. This price includes full professional service, comfortable mountain lodges, and an experienced team of guides and porters who focus on keeping your team safe, supported, and motivated throughout the trek.

For larger groups of 21 or more trekkers, the cost is USD 1,600 per person. You might notice the price is slightly higher, and there’s a good reason for that. Bigger teams need more care and coordination. For groups of this size, Snow View Treks adds an assistant guide, extra porters, and additional safety support. More planning also goes into logistics, such as making sure everyone can eat together, stay in the same lodges, and have access to extra medical and safety equipment. Thus, the cost is higher for a larger group.
