Overview

Yala Peak Climbing is relatively an easy and less technical peak for the climbing in the Langtang region of Nepal. It is situated in 5500 meters altitude. This peak is suitable for the beginner that requires less use of peak climbing equipments. Previous experiences is not necessary, but physical fitness and acclimatization are necessary to go over 5000 meters.

Yala Peak Climbing treip begins from Syabrubesi, after a picturesque drive from Kathmandu. Most of the Langtang treks begin from here, which include adventurous to less adventurous trips. Heading through the rhododendron forest, you trek to the Langtang valley and Kyanjin Gompa at first. They are the real center for Tamang culture and heritages. Its a grand chance to explore the colorful monastery and ethnic lifestyle. Hiking to Tserko Ri, you continue to the Yala Peak base camp, exploring the Langsisha Glacier. At the base camp, you do some climbing practices and walk around for acclimatization. Climbing at the top of Yala Peak, you can get the fascinating panoramas of white peaks including Lantang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, Ganesh Himal, Naya kanga peak, Gangchempo, Shishapangma and more. Climbing down to the base camp, you trek down all the way to Syanrubesi and end the trek. Another option is to join the Gosaikunda and Helambu trek.
