Overview

Manaslu Circuit Trek is to discover the hidden gems of the Manaslu Himalayan region that is lies on the Manaslu Conservation Area Project (MCAP). The trek has been making its space in the heart of the adventure loving trekkers in the recent days. Walking through the picturesque landscape of the Manaslu region, your imagination surpasses with the consolidation of the genuine offering of this region.

Trekking through the round Manaslu trail embarks from Aarughat after an exciting drive from Kathmandu. If you prefer, the trek can be also started from the Soti Khola. Walk in lower altitude part of Manaslu goes the Budi Gandaki valley and gradually ascends towards the Tibetan Buddhist settlements of Sama Gaun, Samdo and other parts. Monasteries, Chhortens and Mani walls have increased the great charming to discover this mystical part of Manaslu. It fringes with the Tibet from which the spiritual life has taken a clear shape. Staggering the best view of Mt. Manaslu (8156m) and the panoramas of Larke La, Annapurna region peaks and glaciers continually astound to assure you about the trekkers paradise. You can easily experience the thrill of adventure pass and trek down to the Marshyangdi valley, finding the diversity of the trail. If you are still passionate to cross another Himalayan pass, then think about the Thorong pass (5416m) or continue descending.

Day 1 :

Our guide will welcome you at Kathmandu airport (1345meters)and transfer in your hotel in Kathmandu . Overnight at hotel.

Welcome to Nepal. Representative of Snow View receives you at the Tribhuwan International airport in Kathmandu and transfer you to the hotel. After a short rest, we brief you about the upcoming itinerary. O/N at hotel.

Day 2 :

Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley and preparation about trek . Overnight at hotel.

It is a day of guided sightseeing tour in Kathmandu. After the breakfast, you will be guided at the UNESCO listed World heritage sites- Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath Stups, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swayambhunath temple. After the sightseeing, you do some preparation for the trekking. O/N at hotel.

Day 3 :

Drive from Kathmandu to Sotikhola (710m). 8-9 hrs

After the breakfast, we begin to drive from Kathmandu through the Prithvi highway. Then we take right towards Soti Khola,enjoying the remote countryside scenery. After a long drive, we reach to Soti Khola and take a rest. Overnight at lodge.

Day 4 :

Trek Soti Khola to Machha Khola (900m). 5-6 hrs

We enjoy the breakfast in the morning and begin to trek the first day. It’s a wonderful journey through the Budigandaki River bank. As the route is winding, we frequently ascend and descend from the River bed to the forest. Gradually, we reach to Machha Khola. Overnight at lodge.

Machha Khola to Jagat (1410m). 6-7 hrs

After the breakfast at Machha Khola, we begin the trek through the narrow gorge and reach Khorlabesi after crossing the Tharo Khola. Heading further, Tatopani is on our way, which is famous for the natural hot stream. Then we cross a bridge and reach to Dovan and we reach to Jagat after crossing Yaru Khola bridge. Overnight at lodge.

Day 6 :

We begin to walk through the rhododendron forest right after the breakfast. Again, we trek down to the Budi Gandaki River and pass some of the ethnic settlements. With a beautiful walking experience, we reach to our destination for today- Deng, which is a picturesque Gurung village. Overnight at lodge.

The usual task of descending to the river bank, crossing the bridge and walk passing the ethnic villages continues even today after the breakfast. We can see the Tibetan Buddhist influence in local lifestyle and cultural way of spending life. We can also explore the Shringi Himalayan range. Namrung is a step ahead with a gradual walking through the trail. Overnight at lodge.

Enjoying the breakfast with the glittering Himalayan views at Namrung, we begin our trek through the Lihi village. On the way, there are several chhortens that highlights the region as culturally loaded place. Reaching Shyala, we can enjoy the beautiful Ganesh Himal. Then we gradually walk to Samagaon and take a rest. Overnight at lodge.

Day 9 :

Rest and acclimatization day at Samagaon.

Having breakfast at Samagaon and taking the beautiful experience of cultural exploration, we begin to trek through the isolated part of Manaslu. During the trek, we can enjoy the amazing view of MT. Manaslu and the dramatic range. We gradually walk to Samdo, which is another beautiful Tibetan Buddhist settlement. Overnight at lodge.

Day 11 :

Samdo to Dharamsala/Larkya B. C. (4460m). 4-5 hrs

We begin to climb from Samdo and head further after we cross a tiny stream. While ascending, we can enjoy the view of Larke glacier. We are already in the thin air region, so we climb up gradually to avoid mountain sickness. Reaching Dharmashala, we take a rest. Overnight at lodge.

Day 12 :

Dharamsala to Larkya La (5160m) to Bimthang (3720m). 8-9 hrs

Walking from Dharmashala, we are going to attain a huge day with challenging pass, known as Larke Pass, which is the most challenging section of this trek. Both climbing up to the Larke top and climbing down is challenging enough that goes through the steep trail. From the Larke La, the Himalayan sceneries of Himlung Himal, Kang Guru, Annapurna and mighty Manaslu can be explored. Then we climb down to Bimthang and rest. Overnight at lodge.

Bimthang to Dharapani (1960m). 5-6 hrs

We continue descending from Bimthang and we reach to the Annapurna Round trail at the final destination of today. Walking through the beautiful woods and terraced green hillside is incredible. First, we pass the Tilije village and finally reach to the Dharapani village. Overnight at lodge.

Day 14 :

Drive back to Kathmandu.

Good bye trekking in Manaslu region. After the breakfast, we drive from Syange to Besisahar and continue driving to Kathmandu. Then transfer to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 15 :

Transfer to international airport for your departure.

Concluding the trekking, our company representative drops you at the airport for the final departure. See you again.

Cost Includes

Transportation:

Accommodation: 

  • In Kathmandu, accommodations on a twin/double sharing basis with breakfast 
  • During Trek: Total 11 nights on a twin/double sharing basis 

Meals: 

  • Breakfast in Kathmandu 
  • Standard full Board Meals During the Treks (one main course per meal with tea and coffee) 
  • Fresh seasonal fruit served along the trail after dinner 
  • Farewell dinner at the end of the trek in Kathmandu 

Guide and Porter: 

  • Government-licensed holder, highly experienced, English-speaking guide 
  • One assistant guide for more than 12 trekkers 
  • 12.5 kg baggage allowance carried by porters (1 porter for 2 trekkers) 
  • All staff’s insurance, salary, equipment, flight or transport, food, and accommodation

Medical Assistance: 

  • Assistance in arranging rescue operations in case of complicated health conditions (funded by travel insurance) 
  • Medical kits, including an oximeter to monitor blood oxygen saturation levels in high altitudes 

Equipment and Extra: 

  • Use of a Snow View Trek’s Team down jacket and sleeping bag during the trek (If needed) 
  • One trekking duffel bag (70 L) per participant 
  • Complimentary one Langtang route map and T-shirt 
  • An appreciation certificate after the successful trek.
