Day 1 :

Welcome to Nepal. Representative of Snow View receives you at the Tribhuwan International airport in Kathmandu and transfer you to the hotel. After a short rest, we brief you about the upcoming itinerary. O/N at hotel.

Day 2 :

Kathmandu tour

It is a day of guided sightseeing tour in Kathmandu. After the breakfast, you will be guided at the UNESCO listed World heritage sites- Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath Stups, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swayambhunath temple. After the sightseeing, you do some preparation for the trekking. O/N at hotel.

Day 3 :

Fly to Lukla (2804m), and trek to Phakding (2610m). 3 hrs walk

From the domestic airport of Kathmandu, you take a 45 minute spectacular flight that takes you to the airstrip at Lukla. It is a gateway for most of the trekking in the Everest region. Then you meet the crew and head through the beautiful trail. Trek above the Dudh Koshi River evokes us to head further, which flows down the trekking trail. The potato and buckwheat fields are dominated throughout the trail today. We take a rest at Phakding. Overnight at lodge.

From Phakding, we head through the uphill trail, passing few suspension bridges. Passing Manju, you enter into the Sagarmatha National Park. We need to show our permit here. Then the trek goes through the straightforward ascending to the Sherpa highland- Namche Bazaar. It is in the horseshoe shape, which is a bustling market centre. It is a wonderful place to stay andalso for the exploration day. Overnight at lodge.

Day 5 :

Rest day at Namche Bazaar

Today is a rest day and acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar. We need to acclimatize to be adapted at the high altitude that prevents acute mountain sickness. After the breakfast, visit around the Namche Bazaar, Khunde and Khumjung. The fabulous views of Mt. Everest (8848m), Tawoche (6542m), Thamserku (6808m), Kantega, Ama Dablam (6856m), Nuptse (7896m) and Lhotse (8511m) are the amazingly seen during the trip. Then back to Namche. Overnight at lodge.

Day 6 :

Namche to Dole (4200m). 5-6 hrs walk

From Namche, we begin to trek through the eastern edge that goes through the forest of rhododendron. We reach to Phortse Thanga after passing different cattle grazing meadows. Then we trek further to Dole and take a rest. Overnight at lodge.

Day 7 :

We begin the trek with a steady climb after the breakfast at Dole. First, we reach to Luza and walk continually through the alpine steep trail. We can see the rescue hospital on the way. With a continual ascend, we reach to Machhermo and take a rest. Overnight at lodge.

Day 8 :

Machhermo to Gokyo (4800m), 3-4 hrs walk

With a greeting to the impressive peaks of the Everest region, we begin to trek towards the ridge. Walking ahead, we pass the landslide area, where several people died in an avalanche in 1995. Passing the River bed, we walk through the moraine of Ngozumba glacier. On the way, we pass the first and second Gokyo Lakes and finally reach to the third Lake on the Gokyo valley. Overnight at lodge.

Day 9 :

Hike to Gokyo Ri

It’s a day for acclimatization with a beautiful hike towards the Gokyo Ri. We bring packed lunch and spend a wonderful day, enjoying the giant peaks of the Everest region. We can have wonderful views of the Everest, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Lhotse and the neighboring peaks. Then we trek down to the Gokyo valley and enjoy walking around. Overnight at lodge.

Day 10 :

Gokyo Lake to Dragnag (4690m). 3-4 hrs walk

Saying good bye to the Gokyo valley, after the breakfast, we proceed to our way to Drangnag. The excellent views of Makalu, Thamserku, Lhotse and Nuptse take our breath away. It’s not so long walk today, but we need to acclimatize and prepare for the big climb on the following day. Overnight at lodge.

Day 11 :

Dragnag to Cho La Pass then Dzongla (4850m). 9-10 hrs walk

Today is a huge day. We begin to climb up to the Chola Pass early in the morning. Through the steep and glacial route, we reach to the Cho La Top (5300 meters). The Everest views are just outstanding. Trekking down is still challenging. With a technical descent, we reach to Dzongla. Overnight at lodge.

Day 12 :

Dzongla to Lobuche

It’s an easy walking day, which is also a short distance. Observing the panoramic scenery of Tawoche and Thamserku, we reach to Lobuche and take a rest. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 13 :

Lobuche to Everest base camp to Gorakshep

The alpine zone of the Everest region, during the trek, we can enjoy the panoramas of Nuptse and Lobuche peak. Crossing the glacier, we reach to Gorakshep. After the lunch, we hike to the Everest base camp through the rocky moraine. Then we climb down to Gorakshep and take a rest. Overnight at lodge.

Day 14 :

Gorakshep to Kalapatthar to Dingbuche (4480m)6-7hrs walk

Early in the morning, we climb to the Kala Patthar and enjoy the golden sunrise views over the 8000 meter peaks. Kalapatthar is also a good viewpoint of the snowy peaks in the Everest region and its surroundings soak in. Then, we trek down to Gorakshep, have breakfast and trek down further towards Dingbuche. Enjoy the success of Everest base camp and Kalapatthar. O/N at lodge.

After breakfast, we move towards the main ridge of the valley. The first destination is Chhukung. It is the last village located on the way to Island peak base camp. Walking through the moraine of the Lhotse Glacier, we take a pleasant walk to the Imja Khola. We reach to a wide and open area, which is known as Island Peak base camp. Overnight at tented camp.

Island Peak / Base Camp

From the Island peak base camp, we begin to climb in the early morning. It is the time to use climbing skill to go higher some hundred meters through the steep ridge. The high camp is located at 5600 meters. Island peak summit is of summit at 6189 metres. We can have a close gaze of Mt. Everest, Thamserku, Lhotse, Nuptse and the surrounding peaks. After taking photographs and wonderful time there, we climb down to the base camp and enjoy the successful climbing. Overnight at tented camp.

Day 17 :

From Dingbuche, we trek down to Tengbuche. It’s a place where famous Tengbuche monastery lies. Trekking further through the bank of the glacial River, we reach to Namche Bazaar, a bustling sherpa town. Overnight at lodge.

Day 19 :

Today, we begin to trek down from Namche all the way downhill to Phakding via Manju. Crossing the suspension bridges, we walk through the gentle trail. This is also a last trekking day in the Everest region. After we arrive in Lukla, we have some wonderful moments in the evening. We enjoy the beautiful evening on the mountain. O/N at lodge.

Day 20 :

Fly back to Kathmandu

The last moment in the mountain, we fly back to Kathmandu with the fascinating views of the Himalayan peaks. From the airport, we transfer you to the hotel. You have free time for shopping and refreshing the whole day. Or we can enjoy the dinner in the evening. O/N at hotel.

Departure

Concluding the Everest base camp trekking, our company representative drops you at the airport for the final departure. See you again.
